HORACONFESSIONS

My sister Mia has been living in East London for the past year & half. It is always the perfect excuse for me to meet up with her, do some catching up- and a bit shopping in the area.

We spend our Sundays chatting whilst we hunt for vintage treasures, and sit for lunch breaks in the food market on Brick Lane. It is definitely one of my favourite Sunday plans.

Here is my little Shoreditch Shopping guide:

- Absolute Vintage (open all week) 15 Hanbury St

- Beyond Retro (open all week) 110-112 Cheshire St

- Vintage Clothing Market (only open Sundays). Downstairs from Sunday Up Market, entrance through Brick Lane Rd (Ely’s Yard, The Old Truman Brewery).

- Rough Trade Records for music- and a photo souvenir (Dray Walk, 91 Brick Lane Rd)

There are too many Spring releases to be excited about!

I went to Nobu Unplugged (London) on Sunday & saw Charles Bruno perform live. His live performance & tracks sounded really, really good. An album is in the works- “Old Man” is a little taste of what’s to come.

The only film I’m looking forward to seeing more than Iron Man 3 this year is The Great Gatsby. Anything related to the film is always welcome…specially if it involves Lana + the much talked about soundtrack.

MGMT’s new track, Alien Days, makes me feel summery & relaxed inside.

Empire of the Sun has returned. Their debut album, Walking on a Dream (2008), is probably one of the top 10 albums I’ve listened to on my music library. They are back with a new album “Ice on the Dune”, which is due to be released in June. Until then, you can get your Empire OTS dose with their new single “Alive”.

Pharrell + Daft Punk. Need I say more?!

I hope you are having a good start to the week. More FARO EP studio time for meeee,

A couple of weeks ago I travelled to Barcelona to shoot a new project with  Bershka.

Whilst viewing their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, I came across this little jacket- and loved it too much to let it go.

I packed it in my suitcase & took it back to England with me (thinking it would be months before it would be warm enough to wear it out). I was wrong: the weather in London seems to slowly be improving. Off with the coats, and on with the jackets.

The day after landing in London, I wore it to visit Bip Ling at Daylesford Farm, in Oxford.

The result of my mini collab with the brand will be out soon- stay tuned!
