HORACONFESSIONS

A couple of weeks ago I travelled to Barcelona to shoot a new project with  Bershka.

Whilst viewing their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, I came across this little jacket- and loved it too much to let it go.

I packed it in my suitcase & took it back to England with me (thinking it would be months before it would be warm enough to wear it out). I was wrong: the weather in London seems to slowly be improving. Off with the coats, and on with the jackets.

The day after landing in London, I wore it to visit Bip Ling at Daylesford Farm, in Oxford.

The result of my mini collab with the brand will be out soon- stay tuned!

It is no secret that I love playing with make-up.

I enjoy trying new products, as well as writing about tips I’ve learned from shoots or friends, & recommending the ones that work for me. I’ve even posted a few tutorials in the past (with tips by Gabriel Llano).

That is why I was over the moon when Maybelline New York approached me a few months ago, and we began to talk about a possible collaboration for 2013. I’ve been using some of their products for years…the first beauty products I ever owned were Maybelline. It felt right.

Our collaboration was announced this morning! A bimonthly video blog on Maybelline’s youtube channel with videos by me- on make-up, fashion, tips & trends. You’ll be able to find these vids on Maybelline Spain’s youtube channel, & I shall also be posting them on here.

I am currently on my way to New York for a weekend of Make-up & Fashion Week: I’ll be filming my first video in the big apple!

My adventure with Maybelline starts today :)

I’d been craving a manicure like this ever since I went to Tokyo in 2009.

I met Jessica Abou Nassar over a year ago at a fashion show. She had amazing nails, and we got chatting about or small obsession with nail art. Jessica had just set up a nail salon with a couple of friends called Ghetto Nailz

A couple of weeks ago, we finally met up at her salon in Madrid for a girly evening of manicures.

Initially it was going to be a very simple design. Then she brought out the little panda bears, stars, & glitter…and things got out of hand! Jessica built the details into the actual acrylic. That means you can paint any layer of colour over the top- but the design is still intact underneath it when you take the colour off.

I’m so happy I finally have my Kawaii nails :)

Thank you Jess!
