I started working on this project over a year ago.
It didn’t have a name, it wasn’t a band. It was just songs & ideas.
The first person I ever wrote with- back in 2011- was Josh Rumble (I pretended I couldn’t speak English for the first 15mins when we met…it was fun). Because I was still living in Spain, we had to make the most of every chance I was in the UK for a few days to write & put new tracks together.
In September 2012 I moved to London & met Sam Monaghan- we also started working together on “it” (“it” still didn’t have a name).
A couple of months later, Sam Greenland (a childhood friend of Josh’s) was added to the equation.
I don’t really know how to explain it, but things slowly fell into place. Josh, the Sams & I- FARO (“Lighthouse”).
After keeping it under wraps for quite a bit, I wanted to start with something special. Something that has inspired me throughout the years, & something that meant something to all of us.
Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” is one of my all time favourite tracks (my mum would play it in the car with my sisters to wake us up in the mornings on our way to school), & this is our tribute.
What makes it even more special is that the video is made by Ana Larruy, one of HoraConfessions’ contributors. At only 18 years old, Ana is one of the most talented people I know. I couldn’t think of anyone more suited for the task.
